'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League comeback

Kane marks his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in coming back to the Premier League has faded and he is willing to discuss a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is currently midway through the four-year deal he inked when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the transfer window of 2023.

The experienced forward has netted an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which marked the first major trophy of his illustrious career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier stated that he would like to see Kane return to England, where he needs 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England leader has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about returning home as he earlier was, and would certainly contemplate extending his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be willing to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different chances and different periods happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top marksman for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the speediest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five divisions, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had eluded him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would react after ending his trophy barren spell, but now thinks it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Ongoing success with Bayern Munich is Kane's primary focus
  • The option of a Premier League return has considerably decreased
  • New contract discussions could start in the coming future
  • Kane's remarkable goal-scoring record continues to amaze
